Stars Falling From the Sky

Stars Falling From the Sky (Korean) - Kang Ha & Pal Kang

I got very lucky on this show. Remember how I was checking the last episode of dramas to see if it had happy endings or not because I could not watch another drama in which one of the main characters dies? Well, I forgot to do that on this one. Let's just say I did get lucky on this one.

This was excellent. It was funny, sad, scary, et cetera. I found it quite enjoyable.

It was sad when Pal Kang found herself caring for her five siblings, one of them a baby (Joo Hwang, No Rang, Cho Rok, Pa Rang, and Nam Yi). It was also sad that she had to hide them in Kang Ha's house because if they were found out they could have been thrown out. Another thing that was sad was when her unknown cousin, Jae Young, blackmailed Kang Ha into marrying her because he didn't know that his brother, Joon Ha, knew they were only half-brothers. When Kang Ha is so in love with Pal Kang, he has to give her up to protect Joon Ha. Understandable but sad.

Another sad moment was when Nam Yi was so sick because he needed a liver transplant. If he didn't receive one, he could die. When the doctor told Pal Kang and Kang Ha that Nam Yi's condition was decreasing for the second time, poor Pal Kang ended up getting sick to her stomach. After leaving the bathroom, she tried to put on a brave face in front of Kang Ha but he could not be fooled.

One thing I found continuously funny was when Kang Ha would give his nephew, Tae Gyu, a cold shower. If Tae Gyu was "hallucinating" or something, Kang Ha would take him into the bathroom and spray him with the shower head shooting out cold water. In either the nineteenth or twentieth episode, not even five minutes after Tae Gyu receives one from Kang Ha, Tae Gyu then goes and says something like, "Pal Kang. I'm hungry. Feed me!" and then Joon Ha grabs Tae Gyu, takes him to the bathroom, and gives him a cold shower.

At the end of the twentieth episode, when the soon-to-be family of seven are walking to Pal Kang's house, they hear crying. Pa Rang runs to the front door and finds a baby on the doorstep. So, they end up becoming a family of eight, though Kang Ha and Pal Kang have yet to marry.

In the end, I enjoyed this show, including the ups, downs, lefts, rights, roller coaster rides... The entire nine yards.
